Description

The project was developed by Jalles Machado. Albioma and Jalles Machado are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Jalles Machado Biomass Power Plant (Jalles Machado Biomass Power Plant-II) is sold to Companhia Paulista de Forca e Luz under a power purchase agreement.

The power generated from the Jalles Machado Biomass Power Plant (Jalles Machado Biomass Power Plant-III) is sold to Companhia Paulista de Forca e Luz under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years.

Jalles Machado Biomass Power Plant (Jalles Machado Biomass Power Plant-I) is equipped with Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 5MW nameplate capacity.

Jalles Machado Biomass Power Plant (Jalles Machado Biomass Power Plant-III) is equipped with Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 28MW nameplate capacity.
