Description

The project is being developed by Athena Energy Ventures and Lohit Urja. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.

Anjaw is a run-of-river project. The net head of the project will be 27.04m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 7 in number. The penstock length will be 48.5m. The penstock diameter will be 7m. The project is expected to generate 1,146 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 7 turbines, each with 38.57MW nameplate capacity.

The nameplate capacity of electric generator(s) to be installed at the project site is 44.44 MVA.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2027. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2030.
