The project is being developed by CORE Pisces, Good Energy and Gower Power Co-op CIC. CORE Pisces, Good Energy Group and Gower Power Co-op CIC are currently owning the project.
Brynwhilach Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project.
The project is expected to generate 12,954MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 2,700 households. The project is expected to offset 298,465t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The solar power project consists of 47,000 modules.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in March 2017.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Brynwhilach Solar Farm (Brynwhilach Solar Farm -1) will be sold to Good Energy under a power purchase agreement from 2017. The offtake capacity is expected to be 5MW.
