Description

The project was developed by Caney River Wind Project and is currently owned by Gulf Pacific Power with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 765,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 70,000 households, offsetting 580,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Tennessee Valley Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2012. The contracted capacity is 199.8MW.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 111 units of V90-1.8 MW turbines, each with 1.8MW nameplate capacity.

Enel Green Power North America and Vestas Wind Systems were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
