Description

The project is being developed by China Steel, Diamond Generating Asia and Zhongneng Power Generation. China Steel, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners KS and Diamond Generating Asia are currently owning the project. The project will be spread over an area of 89.9km².

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Chungnan (Chungnan Phase I) will be sold to Taiwan Power under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.204kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 300MW.

Contractors involved

Chungnan (Chungnan Phase I) will be equipped with Vestas Offshore Wind V174-9.5 MW turbines. The phase consists of 31 turbines with 9.5MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Offshore Wind is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Chungnan (Chungnan Phase I) for a period of 15 years.

Chin Fong Machine Industrial and CS Wind are expected to supply towers for the project.
