Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Songon Energies. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be liquefied natural gas. In case of shortage of liquefied natural gas the plant will run on Heavy Fuel Oil, Diesel Oil.

The thermal power project consists of 2 turbines each with 126 MW nameplate capacity and 1 turbines each with 120 MW nameplate capacity respectively.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2026.

Contractors involved

China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Power Engineering is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.
