Aker Solutions has partnered with Mainstream Renewable Power, Ocean Winds and Statkraft for the planned Utsira Nord floating wind project in Norway.
Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will work to develop sustainable and cost-effective technologies for the project.
These will include initiatives for design, construction, fabrication and installation, as well as other solutions and technologies to reduce costs.
The partners will also aim to boost Norway’s floating wind competitiveness by developing capabilities across the supply chain.
The consortium will work on solutions for the entire value chain, from development to the supply of offshore clean energy to market.
It plans to submit an application to develop wind capacity at the Utsira Nord area, which is located offshore from Haugesund, next year.
