Power industry contracts in November 2022: Europe leads global activity
On comparing contracts activity in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 21 contracts and a share of 33.9% during November 2022, followed by North America with 13 contracts and a 21% share and Asia-Pacific with 11 contracts and a 17.7% share.
In fourth place was Middle East and Africa with ten contracts and a 16.1% share and in fifth place was South and Central America with seven contracts and an 11.3% share.

Solar tops by technology in November 2022
Looking at contracts by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 32 contracts and a 56.1% share, followed by wind with 19 contracts and a 33.3% share and thermal with three contracts and a 5.3% share.
Looking at power industry contracts divided by segment as tracked by GlobalData, Electricity Procurement was the most popular segment during November 2022, with 46 contracts, followed by Power Plant (16) and T&D Project (6).
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 46 contracts and a 74.2% share
- Project Implementation: 12 contracts and a 19.4% share
- Supply & Erection: two contracts and a 3.2% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 1.6% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 1.6% share.
