Power industry contracts in October 2022: Europe leads global activity
On comparing contracts activity in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with nine contracts and a share of 39.1% during October 2022, followed by Middle East and Africa with six contracts and a 26.1% share and North America with three contracts and a 13% share.
In fourth place was Asia-Pacific with three contracts and a 13% share and in fifth place was South and Central America with two contracts and an 8.7% share.

Solar tops by technology in October 2022
Looking at contracts by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 12 contracts and a 54.5% share, followed by wind with eight contracts and a 36.4% share and thermal with two contracts and a 9.1% share.
Looking at power industry contracts divided by segment as tracked by GlobalData, Electricity Procurement was the most popular segment during October 2022, with 17 contracts, followed by Power Plant (6) and T&D Project (1).
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 17 contracts and a 73.9% share
- Project Implementation: four contracts and a 17.4% share
- Supply & Erection: one contract and a 4.3% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 4.3% share.
