Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during July 2022 with a 43.6% share.
The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 36 contracts and a 55.4% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: 27 contracts and a 41.5% share
- Others: one contract and a 1.5% share
- Supply & Erection: one contract and a 1.5% share.

The top issuers of contracts in Solar technology for the month in terms of power capacity involved were:
- Government Of Rajasthan (India): 10,000MW from one contract
- Xinjiang Yecheng: 2,000MW from one contract
