E.ON Energy Distribution has signed a grid connection agreement with UK-based energy investment firm Renewable Power Capital (RPC) for four wind farms in Sweden’s Sollefteå and Kramfors municipalities.
The deal would deliver up to 561MW of clean energy from four wind facilities to the regional and national grids.

The four wind farms that are part of the agreement include the 132MW Sörlidberget wind farm and the Knäsjöberget wind project, which has a 92.4MW capacity.
Also covered by the deal are the Vitberget and Storhöjden wind farms, whose capacities amount to 171.6MW and 165MW respectively.
These projects will collectively generate enough clean energy to meet the power requirements of 182,000 homes.
RPC CEO Bob Psaradellis said: “The connection agreement with E.ON is an important milestone on our path towards completing these four wind farms. We look forward to working closely with E.ON on the construction.”

By GlobalDataBoth companies have agreed on the costs and the schedule for the electricity connection of the four wind power projects.
E.ON said that construction works at the site will begin early next year and site preparation is planned for later this year.
The work includes building a main transformer station in Nässe, southeast of Långsele, which will be done in collaboration with the Swedish authority. Svenska kraftnät will also build a 400kV station.
An 80km 130kV power line will also be built from the wind farms to the station in Nässe.
In addition, E.ON will build three regional grid stations and a further 6km of 30kV line in the area of the wind farms.
E.ON Energy Distribution CEO Martin Höhler said: “This is another example of E.ON enabling the energy transition and the green industrial revolution in Norrland.
“The connection of the four wind farms, which corresponds to as much as 561MW of new renewable electricity, is one of the largest connection deals that E.ON Sweden has signed.”
