April 2022 has seen an increase of 2.38% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.78% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2022, registering an increase of 0.27% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 60% in April 2022, a 75% rise over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 11.43% in April 2022, marking a 20% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 11.43% in April 2022, a 100% rise from March 2022.

Siemens posted 7 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Iberdrola with 6 jobs and a 200% growth. Energisa with 6 IT jobs and Enel with 5 jobs, recorded a 14.29% drop and a 66.67% rise, respectively, while CPFL Energia recorded a 20% decline with 4 job postings during April 2022.
