Description
The project was developed by Fortum Finnsurya Energy. UK Climate Investments and Fortum are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 46% and 40% respectively.
Kapeli Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 70 acres.
The project generates 20GWh electricity thereby offsetting 18,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The project consists of 125,000 modules.
15 inverters have been installed at the project site.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Solar Energy Corporation of India under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.085kWh for a period of 25 years.
