Description

The project was developed by South Branch Windfarm. EDP Renewables Canada and Northleaf Capital Partners are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 8,300 households.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Independent Electricity System Operator under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2014. The contracted capacity is 30MW.

Contractors involved

Henkels & McCoy and White Construction were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 10 units of SWT-3.0-113 turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.

CS Wind has supplied towers for the wind power project.
