Description

The project was developed by Avantus, Saferay Holding and Sustainable Power Group. Alberta Investment Management, The AES, StepStone Group and ULLICO are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 26%, 26%, 24% and 24% respectively.

Redcrest Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 120 acres.

The project generates 48,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 9,000 households, offsetting 54,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in November 2015.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Southern California Edison under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Exyte Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 130,000 modules at the site.

Eaton supplied its Power Xpert inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by First Solar.

Swinerton Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
