Description
The project was developed by Hitachi Zosen Inova and is currently owned by FCC Environment (UK).
The project generates 94GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 22,000 households, offsetting 30,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Industrial waste and municipal solid waste are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Hitachi Zosen Inova was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.
Hitachi Zosen Inova supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 64TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 400°C. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 60bar.
FCC Environment (UK) is the O&M contractor for the project.
