Description
The project was developed by Central Solar de Mocuba. Globeleq Africa and Electricidade de Mocambique EP are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 25% respectively.
Mocuba Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 126 hectares.
The project generates 79GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 175,000 households, offsetting 79,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The project consists of 126,464 modules, each with 320W nameplate capacity.

The project construction commenced in 2018 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in July 2019.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Electricidade de Mocambique EP under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years from 2019. The contracted capacity is 30MW.
