By GlobalDataOX2 Wind's managing director Paul Stormoen said: “We have enjoyed a rewarding collaboration with all the parties involved in the project and we are now looking forward to building and delivering yet another high-quality windfarm.”
Austri Vind is owned jointly by Gudbrandsdal Energy and Eidsiva Energy and has been responsible for the project's development since 2010. The company has worked in collaboration with OX2 since last year with a major aim to secure financing. Stadtwerke München’s contribution as a majority shareholder will allow OX2 to commence construction.
Austri Vind's chairman Thor Svegården said: “Austri Vind is happy to have chosen OX2 as the partner in developing the Raskiftet project.
“We aknowledge OX2 as an experienced windpower company, and look forward in realising the project together with OX2.”
According to a Stadtwerke München spokeswoman Bettina Hess, SWM aims to produce green power in its own installations by 2025, which would be enough to provide electricity for the whole of Munich.
