Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in December 2021 with 62 contracts and a 46.3% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 26 contracts and a 19.4% share and Generation Equipment with 19 contracts and a 14.2% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 51 contracts and an 82.3% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: five contracts and an 8.1% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: five contracts and an 8.1% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 1.6% share.

The top issuers of power plant contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
- Solar Energy Corporation of India (India): 1,885MW from seven contracts
- Anhui Energy Group (China): 900MW from one contract
- Jiangsu Huawei Wind Power (China) and Qidong Hua Er Rui Wind Power Technology: 802MW capacity from one contract.
