Description

The project was developed by Eco2 and is currently owned by Schroders Greencoat.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 65,000 households, offsetting 150,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project got commissioned in September 2014.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Statkraft under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years.

Contractors involved

Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Doosan Skoda Power was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project.

Burmeister & Wain Energy supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 152TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 540Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 112bar.

Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor is the O&M contractor for the project for a period of 12 years.
