Description

The project was developed by Kleen Energy Systems. Osaka Gas, Kyuden International, Sojitz, Others and The Chugoku Electric Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 24.3%, 20.25%, 20.25%, 19% and 16.2% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Algonquin Gas Transmission.

The project generated 4,005,807MWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in July 2011.

O&G Industries was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.

Siemens Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 295MW nameplate capacity.
