India-based company Avantha Group unit CG has secured a $105m order to develop and deploy power transformers in Indonesia.
Awarded by state-owned electricity company PT PLN, the order will include power transformers ranging from 30MVA to 500MVA (70/20kV to 500/150kV). The project will cover the site survey, design, manufacturing, transportation, and deployment of the transformers.
New transformers will be mounted across PT PLN’s transmission network, which covers several substations and power plants in Java, Kalimantan, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and the Papua islands of the Indonesian archipelago.
