Description
The project is developed and owned by Gujarat State Electricity.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Light Diesel Oil/Heavy Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Gare Plama Coal Block.
The project cost is $491.263m.

Contractors Involved
Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.
Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 800MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens supplied electric generator for the project.
GE Power supplied steam boiler for the project.
