Description

The project was developed by Canadian Solar, Recurrent Energy Mexico Development S de RL de CV and Voltalia Portugal. The project is currently owned by BlackRock.

RE Aguascalientes Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 134 hectares.

The project generates 145GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 20,690 households, offsetting 72,700t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $98.794m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.048kWh for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 63MW.

Contractors Involved

Canadian Solar and Grupo Ortiz were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 202,200 modules at the site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by Soltec Energias Renovables.
