Corobici-Dengo is a 174MW hydro power project. It is located on Santa Rosa and Arenal river/basin in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1982.

The project is currently owned by Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad with a stake of 100%.

Corobici-Dengo is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 143.67 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 234m. The penstock length is 803m. The penstock diameter is 2m. The project generated 847 GWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in 1982.

Contractors Involved

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 58MW nameplate capacity.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries supplied 3 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 68.24 MVA.
