Description
The project was developed by Abengoa and Techint E&C. The project is currently owned by InfraRed Infrastructure Fund V with a stake of 35.5%, Invex Infraestructura SAPI de CV with a stake of 10%, Macquarie Capital (USA) and Techint E&C.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from San Isidro-Samalayuca Natural Gas Pipeline.
The project cost is $716m.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
Contractors Involved
Techint E&C was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
The Gas fired project have been supplied by GE Power and Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions.
GE Power supplied H33 electric generator for the project.
John Cockerill Group supplied steam boiler for the project.
GE Power is the O&M contractor for thermal power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2020, for a period of 25 years.
