The project is developed by Fukushima Mirai Kenkyu-kai, Japan Renewable Energy and Shinobuyama Fukushima Power. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.
JRE Shirakawa Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 128 hectares.
The project generates 79,700MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 18,120 households, offsetting 41,510t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $131.542m.
The project consists of 184,730 modules.
