The project was developed by Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV. Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, CKD Infraestructura Mexico and Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40.8%, 39.2% and 20% respectively.
The project generates 280GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 161,000 households, offsetting 157,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $220m.
The wind power project consists of 50 turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
