Description

The project was developed by Scatec. Scatec and STANLIB are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 45% and 10.45% respectively.

Dreunberg Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 225 hectares.

The project generates 156,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 38,000 households, offsetting 144,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $253.22m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 75MW.

Contractors Involved

Black Economic Empowerment and Scatec were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

JinkoSolar Holding was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 103,800 modules each with 295W of nameplate capacity.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 8 of its SMA 800CP inverters to the project site.
