Description

The project is developed and owned by Norsk Hydro. The company has a stake of 100%.

The gross head of the project is 299.5m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 11 in number. The penstock length is 720m. Vemork underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2011-2014. The project generated 1,233 GWh of electricity.
