Description
The project is co-owned by Kyushu Electric Power and Nippon Steel, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is liquefied natural gas. In case of shortage of liquefied natural gas the plant can also run on Blast Furnace Gas.

The project got commissioned in July 1972.
