Ronkhausen is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1.2 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 278m and 254m respectively. The project generated 735 GWh of electricity.

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 70MW nameplate capacity.
