Description

The project was developed by Companhia Energetica de Sao Paulo. The AES, BNDES Participacoes and Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 45.32%, 9.91% and 7.56% respectively.

Bariri is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 0.064 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 24m. Bariri underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2006-2007.

The project has 3 electric generators installed at the site.
