Description

The project is developed and owned by Mulilo Renewable Energy and Sonnedix. The company’s ownership stake in the project stands as 60% and 20% respectively.

Prieska Solar PV Park -1 is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 125 hectares.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households. The project cost is $200m.

Eskom Holdings SOC and Sonnedix are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors Involved

Juwi Renewable Energies was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

BYD was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 274,000 modules each with 315W of nameplate capacity.

ABB South Africa supplied 80 inverters to the project site.

Juwi Renewable Energies is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
