Description
The project was developed by Intikon Energy and SolarReserve. GCL-Poly Energy Holdings, Intikon Energy, Kensani Capital, Old Mutual Life Assurance Co (South Africa) and SolarReserve are currently owning the project.
Lesedi Power Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 150 hectares.
The project generates 143,542MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 38,112 households, offsetting 97,644t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $293m.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2014. The contracted capacity is 75MW.
Contractors Involved
Cobra Gestion de Infraestructuras, Grupo Gransolar, Kensani Capital, Schneider Electric and Siemens were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Hanwha Q CELLS was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company supplied modules with rated capacity of 270W.
Siemens supplied its SINVERT PVS2000 inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising trackers supplied by PiA Solar.
Cobra Gestion de Infraestructuras, Grupo Gransolar, Intikon Energy, Kensani Capital, Siemens and SolarReserve were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
