Dikhu is an 186MW hydro power project. It is planned on Dikhu river/basin in Nagaland, India. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Description

The project is being developed by Naga Manu Power and RRV Infra. Manu Energy Systems and Government of Nagaland are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 76% and 24% respectively.

The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 757 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project will be 105.85m and 94.35m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 3 in number. The penstock length will be 130m. The penstock diameter will be 3.9m. The project is expected to generate 619.93 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $279.471m.

The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 62MW nameplate capacity.
