The project is being developed and currently owned by Terna Energy.
Pyrgos is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 2 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project will be 289.35m. The penstock length will be 230m. The penstock diameter will be 4.2m. The project is expected to generate 264 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $493.13m.
The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines.
