The project was developed by Competitive Power Ventures Holdings. The project is currently owned by Sumitomo with a stake of 50%, Duke Energy Renewables and John Hancock Life Insurance.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households. The project cost is $284.356m.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Evergy Metro under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2012. The contracted capacity is 131MW.
Contractors Involved
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 57 units of SWT-2.3-108 turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.
Duke Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
