Description
The project was developed by Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV and Sowitec Group. Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, CKD Infraestructura Mexico and Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40.8%, 39.2% and 20% respectively.
The project generates 350GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 270,000 households, offsetting 163,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $250m.
The project has 87.5m high towers.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to General Motors under a power purchase agreement from 2016. The contracted capacity is 34MW.
Contractors Involved
Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Nordex was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 43 units of AW125/3000 turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.
Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2016.
