The project was developed by South Field Energy. The project is currently owned by Kyushu Electric Power with a stake of 18.1%, ENEOS Holdings with a stake of 15%, Shikoku Electric Power with a stake of 8.9%, Bechtel and NH-Amundi Asset Management.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Ultra-Low Sulfur Distillate.
The project cost is $1,300m.
The Gas fired project consists of 2 steam turbines, each with 260.8MW nameplate capacity.
