Aschach is a run-of-river project. The gross head of the project is 15.3m. Aschach underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2006-2010. The project generated 1,664.597 GWh of electricity.

Voith Hydro Holding was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of kaplan turbines, each with 67MW nameplate capacity.
