Description

The project was developed by Consorcio Morrinhos and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. Atlantic Energias Renovaveis and Casa dos Ventos Energias Renovaveis are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.

The project generates 727,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 500,000 households, offsetting 215,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in August 2015.

Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos (Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos II) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists of 19 turbines, each with 1.58MW nameplate capacity.

Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos (Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos III) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G97-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 15 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos (Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos IV) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G97-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 15 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos (Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos V) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G97-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 15 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos (Campo Formoso – Consorcio Morrinhos VI) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G97-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 15 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
