Parand Power Plant is a 1,460MW gas fired power project. It is located in Tehran, Iran. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in July 2006.

Description

The project was developed by MAPNA Group. MAPNA Group, MAPNA Assaluyeh Power Generation and MAPNA Tous Power Generation are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 99.8%, 0.1% and 0.1% respectively.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is gas. In case of shortage of gas the plant can also run on Gas Oil.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in July 2006.
