Europe power industry contracts in November 2021: The UK leads activity
Looking at contracts by country, the UK led the activity in November 2021 with 22 contracts and a share of 24.4%, up 18.5% over the previous month and up 5% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Germany with eight contracts and a share of 8.9% and France with seven contracts and a share of 7.8% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Spain held the top spot with 27 contracts, followed by France with 25 and the UK with 21 contracts.

Wind is top technology area for contracts in November 2021
Looking at contracts divided by the type of technology, wind accounted for the largest proportion with 50 contracts and a 62.5% share, followed by solar with 14 contracts and a 17.5% share and nuclear with five contracts and a 6.3% share.
Looking at power industry contracts divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, Generation Equipment was the most popular segment in November 2021, with 33 contracts, followed by Electricity Procurement (21) and Power Plant (19).
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 39 contracts and a 43.3% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: 20 contracts and a 22.2% share
- Project Implementation: 14 contracts and a 15.6% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: ten contracts and an 11.1% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: six contracts and a 6.7% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 1.1% share.

The top winners of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Acciona (Spain), Boskalis (Netherlands), DEME Group (Belgium) and MT Hojgaard Holding (Denmark): 10,000MW from one contract
- RWE (Germany): 1,400MW from one contract
- Doggerbank Offshore Wind Farm Project three Projco (United Kingdom): 1,200MW capacity from four contracts.
