The new solution offered by Flex is a versatile and standardised electricity storage platform for utility, commercial, and industrial users.

The platform has been developed to support multiple cell technologies and optimise energy and power density of BESS deployments. In addition, it has been designed to comply with the exacting standards of the renewable energy industry, while delivering the highest levels of safety and security.

"We are enabling wide-scale implementation, with the hopes of further stimulating growth of the renewable energy industry."

Flex Energy Solutions' senior vice-president Scott Graybeal said: “In designing our energy storage solution, we stressed ease-of-installation, minimising complexity and facilitating rapid deployments.

“By introducing a standardised, cost-effective, and easily-deployed solution, we are enabling wide-scale implementation, with the hopes of further stimulating growth of the renewable energy industry.”

In collaboration with Renewable Energy Systems (RES), Flex has also completed the first successful installation of an energy storage solution for the US Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) at its National Wind Technology Center (NWTC) in Boulder, Colorado. RES is a North America-based global renewable energy firm and battery energy storage integrator.
