Description
The project is being developed by Eoliennes en Mer Iles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier. Engie, EDP Renovaveis, Sumitomo and Caisse des Depots et Consignations are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 31%, 29.5%, 29.5% and 10% respectively.
The project is expected to generate 1,900,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 790,000 households. The project is expected to offset 132,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $2,620.98m. The project will be spread over an area of 83km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed jacket foundations.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
