Kishanganga / Kishenganga is a run-of-river project. The gross head of the project is 665m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The penstock diameter is 2.1m. The project generated 1,712.96 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $773m.

Halcrow Group and Hindustan Construction were selected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.
Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of pelton turbines, each with 110MW nameplate capacity.
