Description

The project was developed by Renewable Energy Systems Americas and is currently owned by Skyline Renewables.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 39,000 households, offsetting 389,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $350m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Austin Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 165.6MW.

Contractors Involved

Renewable Energy Systems Americas was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 72 units of SWT-2.3-93 turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2008, for a period of 20 years.

CS Wind has supplied towers for the wind power project.
