The project is being developed and currently owned by Eqtec.

The project is expected to generate 87,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 37,500 households.

The process of gasification will be adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
