Description
The project is being developed by EDF Renewables Ireland, Shell New Energies UK and Simply Blue Energy. The project is co-owned by EDF Renewables Ireland and Simply Blue Energy, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
The project is expected to generate 4,380,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 1,043,000 households. The project will be spread over an area of 766km². The turbines will be mounted on floating type foundations and will be interconnected by 66kV inter-array cable.
